SEVENTH ANNUAL TREE LIGHTING is 6:30 p.m. outside Memorial Auditorium, hosted by Burlington Riverfront Entertainment, lighting up a real, 25-foot Christmas tree, with free hot chocolate, a Santa mailbox; follow Santa from the parade to the riverfront.

SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY will offer special savings, seasonal items, locally made goods, when you shop small businesses in the Burlington area.

STEAMBOAT SENIOR CENTER, 501 Jefferson St., holiday gift wrapping service is noon-4 p.m. Cost is a donation to the center.

THE WASHINGTON, 306 Washington St., will host Eric Pettit Lion at 7 p.m.

UNIVERSITY OF IOWA COMBO from the U of I Arts Share program will play 8-10 p.m. in the Night Cap Listening Lounge, 211 N. Third St. Admission is free.

WAPELLO FIRE AND RESCUE, Fireman’s Ball is 6-11 p.m. at the new fire station, 320 Mulberry St. Admission is $5.
